A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Ever since I was a kid, I have always wanted to write about the stories and adventures unfolding and playing out in my over-active imagination. Like most children, I was influenced by the shows and cartoons I watched on TV, as well as the comic books I voraciously read. It helped that I had parents who fostered and catered to the ravenous curiosity with which their little boy was afflicted.

At a very young age, the shelves and dresser of my bedroom were already stacked with issues of OMNI, The Uncanny X-Men, and Carl Sagan's Cosmos; as well as the works of Poe, Peter Straub, AC Doyle, Asimov, and others. Needless to say, I wanted for very little when it came to literature and creative encouragement. I was blessed, to say the least.

The bug to write really started when I was in college. I had gotten the idea for a story, wrote a few chapters, and - between marriages and moving - I never got back to it. That story, by the way, will finally be published in Fall 2018.

It took many years, a dear friend, and my incredibly supportive wife, Kimberlee to motivate me to actually sit down at my laptop and finish my first novel, The Arcade.

From our humble digs in the Appalachian Mountains, I now put to use all the creative nuturing my parents provided - and I know that from whichever cloud they're watching me, they're proud of that kid that ran around the neighborhood dressed like a ninja.

It's been a long road...
